Alanna Netterfield

BA HSc, CAT(C), RMT, CSCS

Certified Athletic Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Alanna obtained her Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy (high honours) at Sheridan College in Brampton. She then completed the certification exams to become a Certified Athletic Therapist CAT(C). She has always had a passion for helping others and is interested in how the body works as a whole. After completing her bachelor degree she decided to continue her education at Ontario College of Health and Technology for massage therapy and is now also a Registered Massage Therapist. Additionally, she is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

She has a lot of experience in a variety of settings and can work with people of all ages as well as all injuries of musculoskeletal nature. Her experience as an Athletic Therapist includes working with various varsity teams and athletes at Conestoga College, working with Waterloo County Rugby Team and working in a fitness facility and a private clinic.

Alanna grew up playing baseball and training in martial arts and when it is available to her, she volunteers as a coach in blastball or t-ball.

Each member of  WSM's massage therapy staff is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and is highly qualified in the administration of therapeutic sports massage.  Aside from being extremely relaxing and stress relieving, massage therapy helps to speed recovery, maintain flexibility and increase circulation to muscles and joints.

We have a loyal group of patients, like marathon runners and triathletes, who come for massage before their heavy activity to prepare for the strain to their bodies.
