Martin Lewis

Rugby

Martin LewisFor over 60 years Martin Lewis has been playing rugby in Canada and internationally as a player and coach. Over the years Martin has achieved many successes at both the national and international levels. In 1962 he captained Eastern Canada against the U.S. All Stars. Then later in 2003 he was nominated Player of the Tournament at the International Kowloon RugbyFest in Hong Kong.

Along the way WSM has supported Martin’s pursuits. He suffered a torn quad muscle in Hong Kong in 2004. The treatment provided by Dr. Lee allowed Martin to recover and be able to play one more year in 2005. This was the last tournament he played – he was 70 years old. Today Martin has turned his attention to cycling to keep him active.
