Anna Belay, PT Resident
MScPT, HBSc.
Anna completed her Bachelor of Honours Science at the University of Waterloo in 2019. She then decided to pursue the physiotherapy profession and completed her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario in 2021.
​
During her physiotherapy education, she gained valuable clinical experiences that allowed her to treat a variety of orthopedic injuries. She has worked with a wide spectrum of clients including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Anna strongly believes in patient education, manual therapy, and exercise to successfully allow her clients reach their goals. She will soon be completing her Level 1 Manual Therapy certification and will continue to pursue further education to better support and treat clients with different conditions.

Anna is originally from Ethiopia. She moved to Canada in 2012 with the hope to obtain a better education that would allow her to provide good healthcare services to her community in Canada and rural areas around the world. Anna considers Waterloo to be her home, as she has lived and grown here for the past 9 years. She truly values her time with family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys baking, doing outdoor activities, and going to the gym.
