Dr. Kristin Spark

Dr. Kristin Spark earned Bachelors of Science with a major in physiology and a major in psychology from the University of Western Ontario. Kristin gained her naturopathic sports training under the industry leaders, and a Canadian Olympian. She is a Naturopathic Doctor and certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN), and in her general family practice, she likes to work with athletes, weekend warriors and busy families on the go.

As a naturopathic doctor, Kristin believes in guiding her patients back to health and into peak performance.  She believes in providing evidence-informed natural treatment options to improve health.  Dr. Spark treats people not conditions. She provides individualized treatment options for each of her patients because she knows every patient is unique and medicine is not a one-size-fits-all.  Kristin works best with motivated people who want to feel better and are ready to reach their goals.

Dr. Spark has a special interest in digestive health, hormonal health (thyroid, sex hormones, cortisol management, etc) and weight loss.  She offers testing options such as serum food sensitivity testing, saliva hormone testing, and stool assessments for bacterial dysbiosis and parasites.  Kristin also practices acupuncture - especially beneficial for chronic pain, chronic injuries and healing.

During her school years, she danced competitively for 10 years at Bojangles Art of Dance in Kitchener, competing at an international level, winning titles across North America.  Seeking more outlets for sport during her years at university, she turned to competitive running and dabbling in duathlon, but quickly enjoyed the exciting challenge of triathlon.  In 2012, Kristin competed at the World Championships Ironman 70.3 Triathlon. She also loves hot yoga, cross-country and downhill skiing, hiking  and sailing.

Like the WSM team, she enjoys helping people feel their best. Kristin is passionate about sports and leading an active lifestyle. She loves helping patients find their passion for exercise and active living.  Kristin believes that when health is accessible people are equipped to take on the world!

Kristin believes balance is the key to a happy and healthy life, and so she likes to unwind with a good novel, and a glass of great wine.
