Victoria Tolton, RMT

BA, MA, MSc

Victoria comes to the profession of Massage Therapy after three University degrees (BA MA MSc), 15 years as a certified yoga practitioner, 10 years as a Graduate Program Administrator with The University of Waterloo, and 6 years as a Labour and Delivery Doula. She is a 2007 Senior Ladies National Champion and a 2007 World Bronze Medalist in synchronized figure skating. She graduated with “Distinction” from triOS College’s Massage Therapy program in Kitchener, Ontario.

Victoria’s education is a unique combination of the humanities and human kinetics; her academic portfolio includes two Master’s degrees (The University of Waterloo and The University of Edinburgh, respectively) with a thesis that considered the reconstruction of broken Greco-Roman statuary based on ancient anatomical understanding of the human body.

Outside of academics, Victoria approaches her role as a certified yoga teacher with curiosity and joy. She first discovered this practice following her season with the National Team to recover from the rigors of training, and is endlessly intrigued by the sequencing of postures, and their ability to bring the body and mind into better alignment.

Labour and Delivery work is another passion of Victoria’s; empowering women to move through the birth experience confidently is one of her greatest honours both personally and professionally.

As an RMT, Victoria is excited to build on her body work skills, and leverage her understanding of yoga and remedial exercise to help all her clients enjoy the freedom of moving well in their bodies.
