Joseph McGill, PT

BSc (PT), BA Kin, CAFCI

Joseph graduated from the Physiotherapy Program at the University of Western Ontario in 2003. Since that time, he has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings from small, rural practices to large, multidisciplinary Sports Medicine practices. He previously worked on campus at the University of Waterloo for 8 years.

Since finishing university, he has continued to make learning a priority. With an interest in a diverse variety of training, Joseph has taken continuing education courses in traditional Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Applied Kinesiology, Trigenics and is certified in Acupuncture through the AFCI. He has also taken some training in Post Concussion management. Using his experience, he aims to tailor his treatments to the individual needs of those who come to see him.

Joseph's basic philosophy and approach to Physiotherapy is that the human body is generally designed and programmed to heal and repair itself. He views his role as a Physiotherapist as helping to support the body's own healing process, removing barriers to healing, and assisting his patients in achieving their goals. Using a holistic approach to his practice, Joseph believes that in addition to treating areas of pain it is important to look deeper to try and identify core issues requiring attention.

He is happiest in his practice when helping people problem solve so they can stay involved in the activities they love. He enjoys helping people of all ages and problems to work toward their future goals
