Krista Schurter, PT

B.Kin (Honours), MScPT

Krista Schurter is a registered physiotherapist with a background in kinesiology and evidence-based rehabilitation. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University.

Krista provides comprehensive physiotherapy care with advanced training in manual therapy, acupuncture (dry needling), concussion management, and vestibular rehabilitation. She treats a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, dizziness/vertigo, and post-concussion symptoms.

She has a special interest in dance medicine, sports physiotherapy, and running injuries. Her background in ballet includes completing the Royal Academy of Dance Advanced I examination, giving her a strong understanding of the demands placed on dancers and performing artists. She also has experience as a Boston Marathon qualifier and finisher, reflecting her own background in endurance running and her understanding of the demands of high-level training. She works with dancers, runners, and active individuals on injury prevention, biomechanics, and return-to-activity rehabilitation.

Krista takes a personalized, active approach to treatment, combining hands-on therapy, exercise prescription, and education to help clients move better, recover from injury, and return to the activities they love. Outside the clinic, she enjoys running, hiking, strength training, and spending time outdoors with her family, and she brings that same appreciation for movement and well-being into her work with clients.
