Ryan Pinto, PT

Ryan completed his BSc in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in 2013. He then went on to complete his MSc in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Western University in 2016, working in the Wolf Orthopaedic Biomechanics Lab and at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic. Before pursuing physiotherapy, Ryan worked as a Registered Kinesiologist (R.Kin) and a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP), gaining extensive experience in sports rehabilitation and exercise prescription.

Ryan combined his passions for research and rehabilitation by completing his Master of Physical Therapy degree from Western University in 2021 while simultaneously completing his PhD, where his research focused on risk factors and treatments for patients with knee osteoarthritis.

Sports have always been a central part of Ryan’s life. He discovered rugby in 2004 and went on to play varsity Men’s Rugby for the University of Waterloo, as well as for the Waterloo County Men’s Rugby team until 2019.

Ryan is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). He is also a certified GLA:D Canada Clinician, delivering targeted exercise and education programs for individuals with hip and knee osteoarthritis.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys staying active through golf, hiking, biking, going to the gym and chasing his two kids around.
